    Good morning fellow members,
After getting hooked to Triumph, after my first Tiger 1050 and after a long string with Japanese bikes, I am now considering getting a 2013 Triumph Trophy SE but I have some concerns and I thought to reach out to you experts: the existing members!

The bike in itself is a great bike to have and ride, as I am sure most of you will agree with me on this, however, why is the Trophy model discontinued after 2017?
What will fill this gap now? I mean the Trophy is the top of the range "Super Touring" bike Triumph has to offer, competing with BMW R1200RT, but not quite "Luxury Touring" to compete with BMW K1600 (GT/GTL/B/Grand America).
Is Triumph thinking to tackle the Luxury Touring Market?
Will Triumph not have anything new for the "Super Touring" category?
Do any of you guys or gals, know anything about this?

With the above said, I am worried that there will be a shortage of parts soon, making it more difficult (and thus more expensive) to service, and thus the price for the Trophy will devaluate a lot soon.

    So, what do you think?
Is this a legit concern or am I completely wrong to have this concern?

Any minor or major issues that I should be aware of with the Trophy?
Are aftermarket products for the Trophy easy to source?
Is the bike expensive to run and/or maintain?

Any suggestions are welcome, and I would appreciate your expert feedback.

Regardless if I buy the Trophy or not at the end (tomorrow basically), e-drinks are on me... but even better, if anyone is based in or traveling to Switzerland... then real drinks are on me.

Don't be shy to reach out to me now and safe riding everyone!

    Thanx,
    Tops

Hi Tops, and :400: to the Forum !

Many of the questions you ask are answered in this ( old ) Topic :

Is Triumph discontinuing the beloved Trophy ?

Sales of this fantastic motorcycle simply did not reach the required levels for Triumph
to continue with it, or further its development, so it was discontinued.

To the very best of my knowledge there are currently no plans for the Trophy to be revived in the
future, with Triumph are concentrating on the more popular markets of Street, Retro, and Adventure.

I've never seen an official notice by Triumph that the Trophy has been discontinued,
but it happened during 2016-17.  Triumph do aim to support discontinued models for
several years ( 10 or 12 if I remember correctly) with servicing and spare parts availability.

If you're thinking of buying a Trophy, have a read of this Topic first :

What to look for when Buying a Pre-Owned ( Used ) Trophy SE

.... then take a TEST RIDE - and you are quite likely to be convinced !

Next time you are in Switzerland, drinks are on me!

Also, do you happen to know of any Trophy owners in Switzerland?  :187: Swiss or Expats?! :435:

:400: to the forum.  Sadly the Trophy production is done, but that won't stop many of us from continuing to ride a great machine.

    Hi Trophied
Thank you for your welcome message and encouraging message.
It seems, as of tomorrow... I will also strengthen those numbers. I would be more than happy to meet new people and make new "Trophy" friends. I am based in Zurich in Switzerland, and anyone touring through, feel free to reach out to me.

If you look at the Top Menu Bar, in the middle is a "Members Map" button.

Not everyone adds themselves to the Map ( it's voluntary )
but there are a few Members showing in and around Switzerland.

If you click on one of the "Pins" a Page will open with a little information
about the Member, including when they were last active on the Forum.

From that Members page you can also send them a Private Message.

    Cheers  :821:
