2012 footpeg bracket paint
« on: April 19, 2019, 09:44:08 AM »
I recently got a 2013 lunar silver SE. The rider footpeg brackets could use some "touching up". So, I'm looking for a matching aerosol paint to refinish them. The color does not look like a straight matte black to me.
Any guidance on the right paint to use?

That's what I get for posting in the wee hours of the morning...it's a 2013, not a 2012 as stated in the subject....

Hello Larry

Did you get the paintcode for the footpegs?

Unfortunately, I have not.
All that I have done is to "touch up" the scratched areas that I have with a black permanent marking pen. It covers the scratches well & is "close" match.
The original paint on those cover/brackets seems to be a matte black w/ a little metallic flake in it. That would be difficult to match up w/o a paint code. &, the marking pen "touch up" does a pretty good job of covering up the blemishes.

I have the same scuffing problem on my newly acquired Trophy and am searching for
A match.

The paint appears to be a graphite grey colour which is almost black in appearance.

If I find Anything out I’ll post it on the forum :-)
