    Tank bag

I'm looking for a tank bag, preferably one that has a tank loc system. If not that, can anyone suggest one that works well ? I want to replace the original behemoth with one that has a lower profile. Thanks to anyone that may have a good suggestion.

To be honest, I've grown to really like the original Trophy tank bag.  Particularly for the ease and speed of fitting and removal.  I don't really like the small capacity, but it does for carrying the valuables etc.  The one thing I miss with it is a map pocket...some of us still like to use the old fashioned paper......

The height of the tank bag doesn't bother me at all.

A few of us over here have the GIVI XSTREM 20L with tank lock system, unsure if it's available over the pond though.  :084:

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention - I've raised my handlebars by 1.5" so that makes a big difference to bag/bar clearance.

Looked at that one, but thought the tankloc wasn't available for the TTSE

    That’s odd, Novocastrian.
My OEM Trophy tank bag came with a separate map holder (that I use constantly, being an old ‘map guy’ myself).  :084:

I'll be the dissenting voice here re: the OEM tank barge. It is colossally huge, and yet somehow manages to have little capacity to actually carry things. Also, if you ride long distances and like to stand up once in a while to stretch out/rest your butt, the OEM jobber is badly in the say of that. It does have an excellent mounting system.

As much as this company irritates me, and as expensive as it is (way) the Touratech tank bag is excellent. It's really just a re-purposed RT bag, but it has Trophy-centric mounting that works very well, is not in the way of standing, and manages to hold more stuff than it appears it would. The problem? It's nearly $500 shipped (see: this company irritates me, above). If you're pricing it relative to normally priced non-Touratech ripoff pricing, it's, well...a ripoff. But, if you want the best option, are planning to keep it for years to come, then just fork over the loot.

Alternative" Moto Tim has a You Tube video where he takes a Coretech (I think) bag that is very nice and very reasonably priced, and shows how to mount it on the Trophy tank in a clever and effective manner. As it happens I have teh very bag he uses there, but I personally wasn't happy with the positioning of it (you have to mount it backwards) so I went TT. But, check the vid...it is a very clever and perfectly viable alternative to spending 4x market price for a Touratech wallet destroyer.

Saddletramp, I got mine second hand so it was missing I guess. How does the map pocket attach ?  I'm curious....
