    2013 TTSE concerns

Hey all, new 2013 TTSE owner here with a question about the top end engine issue. Is there a way to find out from Triumph if my bike has had the repairs done to it yet? I'm probably the third or fourth owner so can't find out if it's been repaired or not.  It runs great but does sound a little noisy on start up with a very fast and fluctuating idle till it warms up a bit. Love the bike just want to head off problems before they get serious!  Thanks in advance for any help. Mark

The work "should" be inserted onto a Page of your Service Booklet
( Page 5 I think, without checking ), but many Dealers neglect to do do this !

Any authorised Triumph Dealer should be able to access the information from the Computerised records,
or if you don't have easy access to a Dealer near you, send Triumph an email, with your VIN Number.

In the U.S. I believe the email address is : support@triumphmotorcycles.com

( In the UK the mail address is : after.sales@triumph.co.uk )

    Cheers  :821:

I asked my Triumph dealer to check out my 2013 SE and they came back with details of quite a bit of recall/warranty work and the details of who did it, when they did it and the recorded mileage at the time.  It included the top end work, a replacement stand and something else that has slipped my mind for the moment.

It is all looked up from the bike chassis number.

The details of the work had not been recorded in the service book, just an entry that a service had taken place.

Even a phone call to the dealer with the Vin number should provide the information you want.

I just purchased a 2013 TTSE. I called the customer service phone number and provided the VIN. They told me of all recall work on record. It helped my decision on purchasing the bike. I recommend calling.

'Nother new '13 owner here. Glad to hear that Triumph offers peace of mind offering warranty records freely to new owners.

Does anyone have experience getting any old previously-skipped warranty work fulfilled?

    ... old previously-skipped warranty work ...

What do you have in mind ?

Triumph have been known to make "Goodwill gestures" where a Trophy has been maintained
by an authorised Dealer in accordance with the Service schedule, when an issue has arisen
after the 2 year Warranty has expired, but there is absolutely no requirement for them to do so.

They will examine each each issue on a case by case basis, and depending on the problem
they may offer to fix it, or provide parts at no cost, with the owner paying Labour charges etc,
    or decline to help.

If there is something that arose during the Warranty period, and was not notified to Triumph
before the Warranty expired, i.e. "skipped", then you might struggle to prove that it didn't occur,
or break etc, AFTER the Warranty had expired.

In my experience Triumph are usually quite helpful, and "reasonable" in such matters,
for their loyal customers, considering that they don't have to do anything at all,
and more so than some other manufacturers, but they obviously can't  provide "goodwill"
gestures for everything that might go wrong after the Warranty has expired !

    Cheers  :821:

New owner (2013) here as well.  Will someone please tell me what this top-end repair is? And where can I find the customer service number?

    thanks,
