Luggage Rack / Hand Rail Removal
« on: July 30, 2013, 11:29:22 pm »
Hi - does anyone have instructions on removing top box plate, and luggage rack / hand rails? Top box instructions say to refer to the service manual but that's $105?!

Sorry Sid no. It cannot be too hard to do though.

It's not hard.  Pretty intuitive once you get started.   From memory...

Remove luggage plate - Three screws if I remember

Remove grab bar -  The screws are evident once the luggage plate is removed. I don't remember, but don't think the rear panels need to come off.  But if so, it will be evident.

Remove one screw that retains the seat lock

Thanks guys. Wasn't too hard. Really needed torque ratings for when I put them back on. Added a new mod -

give me that Americans envy
you can do whatever you want with your car, in Spain you can not change anything, not even a light bulb for example

There is a rack for golf clubs but I don't think he has a rack for surfboards yet. Here's the website, give him a shout and maybe he'll build one - http://2x2cycles.com/
