LED headlights, what brand did you install?

I really want to upgrade the halogen headlights to LED, and will do so this summer. I have installed two white DRL LED strips on the vertical portion of the fairing that I've used on other bikes, and I also installed a 10" LED light bar, attached to the bottom cover under the fairing. Every time I pull up behind something and see the reflection, it reminds me how dim the stock headlights really are. The biggest problem I have is knowing which brand LED's will fit, and give the best performance. I'm really looking more for increased daytime visibility than I am nighttime performance, as it's rare I ride after dusk or before sunrise. I've had extremely good luck with JDM Astar LED's in my cars, but the ones they recommend for the Trophy look to be HUGE! I haven't looked at how much clearance the Trophy has, so I don't know if these will fit or not. So, for those that have done the upgrade, what brand did you install? Please provide links if possible, thanks!

Here's what I'm running in mine:

Very good quality, great light output with a perfect pattern on low beam.  The metal base removes for an easier install, but you will need to trim the rubber boot a bit.  They are still a bit of a pain, as are the OEM bulbs, but not too bad.  Cyclops specializes in motorcycle lights, and they are located in the U.S., so you could actually call them if there's an issue.  The price is per bulb, so about twice the price of what you listed.  And no, I'm not affiliated with them, just a satisfied customer.  My 2 cents...  Happy shopping!

Not sure about fitting LED's in any headlight that's got a reflector designed for a normal bulb, I've heard that the light output and beam pattern can suffer. In the UK at least, that could fail the MOT.

I installed these last last week.  Light output is great and there is no scattered light. Getting the clip on over these is not easy.

Like Stoney, I have also converted my Trophy to Cyclops LED bulbs.
I previously outfitted my GS’ with these bulbs, as they had a habit of eating at least one halogen bulb a year, and always at an inopportune time. The Cyclops solved that problem while offering a much more visible signature.

In regards to the light pattern on my Trophy, the Cyclops bulbs pattern is definitely not as precise as the stock halogens, but for me, the pattern is adequate for the little bit of night riding that I do these days, and the visibility gained is well worth the trade-off.  :038:

A good set of Sylvania SilverStars works wonders in the stock reflectors.  If you want to go LED, I recommend going with auxiliary lights.  I have mine mounted under the mirrors.  They are LEDrider LD5's and will burn the flesh off anyone silly enough to walk in front of them. https://ledrider.com/shop/?model_number=LD5

I also run some small 10w spots mounted to the front fender bolts.  They provide the "triangle of visibility" that hopefully cagers will see.

Each light set is controlled by a Skene Design Intelligent Light Dimmer.  I have the small spots set to 20% on low beam and they go to full power with the high beams.  The big lights are normally switched off on low beam and instantly go to full power on high beam.

Thanks everyone for the links, it's a great help! I've already got enough auxiliary LED's in the front, so I think I'll go with the Katana's from Amazon for the headlights.

This is the LED light bar I installed. The brackets that came with it were too short, so I bought some different L brackets from Menard's. It's a perfect fit and bolts right in using the OE bolts that hold the cover in place.

Interesting video on bulbs/LED/HID options. :002:
