    Garmin 595LM

    Hi all,

I am hoping a member has found a sun shield to suit the Garmin 595LM. These devices have great features but at times I have found the screen display just a little hard to read. In saying that, the voice instructions have been most helpful.
Look forward to seeing what may be available offshore.

    Best regards,
    Alex

    Hi Alax (NZ ),

Check eBay or Amazon in your Country.

In the UK I bought one of these, and althoiugh it does help a little,
I found that it was more awkward than it was worth, in terms of taking it on and off
when parking up and wanting to put the Garmin in its carry case, so I no longer use it.

Many thanks for the link Coconut. These sat navs are an excellent but very expensive piece of kit and any improvement visually will definitely help.
    Cheers

I have the same shade as Coconut but find it's really only useful if the sun is not from behind me...if the sun is behind me it makes no difference.  They are better than nowt though.....

I have this one and it is really good.  It was cheaper when I bought it, but it fits perfectly.

Many thanks for the great links guys.
I have ordered a sun visor/hood, thanks Coconut, and should this not be entirely successful then plan B would be to fit an anti-glare protector as Stelyn has suggested.
I will let you know once the visor is delivered and trialed.

    Cheers
