    Potential new owner - Hi

    Hello everyone,
Great to see such an active forum for this bike. I'm looking at upgrading from a 96 BNW r110r to a touring bike. I commute for work and the extra bits will make my trip much better (heated stuff, fairing, cruise control, etc).
Since I currently have a BMW, I always looked at RT models as my next purchase. I come across articles and videos comparing the Trophy to the RT. Found one near me so I thought I'd test ride it.

I was impressed. It felt quite nimble and I appreciated the steady torque compared to the BMW's grunt.
When looking for to replace a car or bike, I tend to do a lot of research and comparisons. It takes me forever. With the bike I tested, part of me just wants to pull the trigger and be done with it. I don't mean this in a bad way, I haven't found a reason NOT to enjoy the Trophy.

Here's the bike I found. Dealer says they have all or most of the maintenance records.

Is there anything I should look for when search for a used Trophy? If things work out, I may be on this forum more often.

    Thanks in advance!

Small world. I was thinking of buying that bike but I found one closer to me.

Make sure the head was upgraded if needed.  Triumph would know.
Then you should be good to go!  Good luck!

:400: to the forum.  Have the vin number checked to see if it's had or even a candidate for the head replacement (ALL 2013's aren't candidates), check the audio software to make sure it's 1.04E and not A (that one can cause battery drain).  If it has heated grips and seats that's a big plus.  I think that's the only things that need researching since almost all the other stuff are normal maintenance related items.  My 2013 hasn't had any serious issues other than debris causing punctures!!! :233:

Hi Gargamel and :400: to the Forum !

Pretty well everything you might need to know about the Trophy will be in here somewhere,
so make good use of the "SEARCH" Feature, but if there's anything specific you need to know,
just start a New Topic in a relevant Section and you'll soon have the answer !  :169:

To answer your original question however, take a look at this Topic :

    Cheers  :821:

Thanks everybody for the kind words.
Iíll check out the links you provided. I already found a few answers on this site.
Looks like all TSBs have been done except the cylinder head. It didnít notice a loud valve tap or cam chain noise when I took a test ride. Iíll pay better attention when I check it out again.

Everything checked out. Signed the paperwork yesterday. I am a proud owner of a 2013 TTSE with just under 12K miles.

Hello from Wisconsin! Looking forward to being on the site more often.

How many of you, if any, are also on the TTSE Facebook group "Triumph Trophy SE"?
