wow - That's an amazing level of support, thank you.

I'm heading a way for a few days tomorrow but will attempt this, with a meter at hand.

Your great description should be easy to follow and as the fuse box is so close to the audio unit there's not to much to pull out

I will certainly feed back to you how I get on.

Thank you so much for your time.

Good evening

Whilst away I purchased a multi meter gadget and watched some 'youtube' footage to learn to use it for what I needed :).  I have also managed to get a copy of the TT service book.

I have been able to follow your clear guidance and as you had suspected, I have power at pins 26 and 27 but nothing at the GPS out put.  I have not been able to test the GPS output at the purple wire on the audio connector as I am unable to find a place to put the meter, but did test it at the connector under the box under the left wing mirror.

By all accounts it appears the audio unit is broken :(.....

I have emailed Radio Sounds to see if they have any fixes

Thank you for your time and support.

There are some on ebay ranging from $295 to 449.61 with shipping anywhere from free for the highest priced one, to $15 for the $295 one.  All are pre owned.  The company MAY give you some relief on the price to help you out.  They did that previously for another member whose audio unit was out of warranty.  It is a pain to remove as best I recall from the posts regarding it.

This New Topic has been created after being extracted from another Topic titled "Relays",
when it became apparant that Relays are not the issue needing to be discussed.

OP: Did you actually change the audio fuse or just look at it and determine it's fine? My radio/sat nav stopped working one day and I looked at the fuse and it looked fine, but on a whim I changed it for a brand new one, and everything worked fine after that. It seems unlikely to me that the radio AND the sat/nav would both not be working, which are powered on the same fused circuit, and the radio is broken.

AZBob,

Thanks, as always, for trying to help.  :028:

dwillcox has checked and there IS Power at the Pins of the Audio Unit
that are supplied by that Fuse, ( so the Fuse is good )  but there does not seem to be
any Output voltage from the Pin of the Audio Unit that provides Power for the Sat Nav connection,
so it is my assumption there is an internal problem / fault with the Audio Unit,
preventing it from powering up or providng power output for the Sat Nav.

It's always difficult to make such a diagnosis remotely, and my opinions are always offered "as is"
with no Guarantees, based on an anlasys of the information provided, using my personal knowledge
and experience, and references to various information sources such as Wiring diangrams
and Service literature when available.

Ultimately, I'm just another Trophy Owner, and am always happy to be proved wrong,
when I would use that as a learnng experience.

Cheers  :821:

Ah, pardon, I missed reading the post in which he mentioned he checked the output pins. I'd still change the fuse anyway because it takes two seconds and there are reasons why you might have power but not enough current, especially since the radio is kind of finicky about its power supply.
