Helmet lock
« on: August 02, 2013, 02:58:43 PM »
Has anyone been able to actually use the helmet locks that are under the seats? There doesn't seem to be any good way to attach my C3 or my wife's RF-1000 to them. I had one on my SV and I remember it working great. The hooks just don't seem to be in a good position. Am I missing something?

I can't really see any way to use them without scratching paint!

I tend to have a bike chain and just put that through the visor hole!

I tried but then got schuberth without d rings so no good.  I bought a couple of abus 'wire' locks with combination locks off eBay that allow me to lock to different parts of the bike.

Dont use them. If pannier empty will fit in there. otherwise lock it to the bike on the ground. Like cropbiker dont want to chance damage to paint.

Tried it once, failed, abandoned the prospect of using the lock. :151:

Yeah I think I'm going to throw on the Helmet Guardian I had on my Tiger. Just wanted to make sure I'm not crazy.  :062:

Just because we agree the helmet lock is useless doesn't mean you're not crazy!

Just curious. Everyone speaks of scratching the bike paint.  Am I the only one who also doesn't want to scratch up a $500+ helmet?
