    Hello from Sweden

Bought a used TTSE 2013 last week. Had a Tiger Explorer a few years ago and had a Yamaha Super Tenere in between, but missed the lovely triple engine. Very comfy bike. :002:

Sadly I just noticed the pulsating front brake syndrome on my bike, don't know yet what to do with it. No warranty left anyway.

:400: to the forum.  First clean the bobbins well.  Mine always seems to be much better or even non existent after I clean them.  Some will opine that cleaning the bobbins is useless and the design is flawed because other brands never need that, but I find it beneficial on my 2013.  Beyond that, maybe EBC Rotors in the front and some new EBC pads.  I must be awfully easy on my front brakes since I have over 25,000 miles and at last service the dealer said I had plenty of pad left until next (30,000 mile) service.  I DO already have some EBC replacement pads.  I did replace the rear myself before necessary since the rear wheel was already off for a new tire.

Welcome from Tennessee USA.  I've noticed that pulsing a few times, but its not problematic

Welcome to the gang, pribus!  Cleaning the bobbins did the trick on my 2013, and helped but didn't completely fix my 2017.  Definitely worth the effort, regardless.  Glad you've joined us!

Hi pribus, and :400: to the Club !

Clean the front disc bobbins as discussed extensively elsewhere in the Forum,
then take the bike out on a run and apply the front brake FIRMLY a few times,
( of course on a good dry straight road, with no traffic around you ! ),
which should centralise the discs, and if the discs are NOT warped,
this may restore them without the "pulsing" ( or at least reduce it ).

    Cheers  :821:

    Thank you all!

Tolerances. Does anyone know how much run-out (measuring if disc is warped) is allowed before discs are considered warped? I measured my front discs and the left one has 0,06 mm, the right has 0,19 mm.
