Heated seats not working

    I have a recently purchased 2016 Trophy SE that I really am enjoying and I am getting really friendly with it. A few days ago while on a couple hour ride wanted to try the the heated seats and they never came on. Yesterday, I removed both seats and took a good look and I can not locate any electrical cords coming out of both of the seats. I did find one connector cord coming up from down below. I am beginning to think that maybe some swapped seats and I have 2 non heated seats. There are a few tags on the seats look like part #s. These seats are never going to work without a electrical cord that plugs into a connector.  Looking for any who has any suggestions.

Heated seats were an option.  Is there a switch located on the plastic faring just below the left side of the seat or a blanking plug?
The bikes are wired for the seats (except the switch) even if they did not come with heated seats.

        There is a factory looking switch located on the left side of the upper portion of the side panel.

It would appear you don't have Heated Seats, as the wires coming out of them are obvious.

Was it sold to you as having Heated Seats ? - If so you may have recourse with the Seller ?

The wires have a Plug in the end that connects to a socket -
located under the pillion seat on the right hand side.

The switches are in the top of the left side panel for the rider,
and on the right under the pillion grab rail for the pillion.

I would expect that a previous owner replaced the original non heated seats
when they sold the bike, and sold the Heated Seats on separately,
but left the wiring harnesses and switches in place.

As well as the wires coming out of the bottom of the seat pan, the heated seats have a tag on the left side  (of the riders seat), saying "Triumph heated".

      Thanks for the feed back on the heated seats. Does anyone know if the heated seat was a option or was it standard equipment on a SE model. The heated hand gripe are working, and I use them a lot more than the seat.

The heated seats and hand grips were not standard equipment on the Trophy SE.  Both items were options, and could be bought installed at the dealer, although I don't know what the cost was for installing grips, and it may have varied dealer to dealer based on their labor charges.  At one time the heated grip kit was priced at over twice as much as buying the parts separately and a lot of us did the install ourselves and saved the labor cost.  That pricing error was finally discovered and corrected and that ended that deal.  The seats and the switch required are a plug and play thing.  I think the previous post about the original owner putting standard unheated seats on your Trophy and selling the much more valuable heated seats is the case.  Definitely check to see if it was stated anywhere that you bought it with heated seats, and force the issue if it was.

    I am not sure if the Trophy was delivered with a heated seat, as they were an option. I have heated grips and they work. The seats do not have any electrical wiring which can be plugged in to the connector’s under the seats. The connector that comes up from the fuse box does not look like the pic in previous reply.
             The bottom line is I do not have heated seats, so either the original owner sold the heated seats and replaced with non heated seats. or they were not a option when delivered to the original owner. Since I live in So. California from October to May and spend June to September On Cape Cod, Mass. I get to ride all year long in warm weather. I will be reading thru my sale’s contract to see if it states sold with heated seats, to see if there is any recourse for me with the dealership I bought it from.  Want to thank everyone who gave some feedback. Have about 750 miles on the Trophy now and getting really comfortable riding it !!!!           Cross-Country
