It would be a shame for you to ride directly from Presidio to Kerrville and home without tackling the Three Sisters. 2slow’s suggestion of an overnight in Del Rio would allow ample time the following day to tackle a fair amount of The Sisters before stopping for the night in Kerrville, and then finishing up the rest before you take the short ride home the following day. If the fly-in from my buddy fails to materialize, I might be up for tackling The Sisters with you again....

My room reservations are for Alpine the first night, Presidio the second night, then 170 east to Del Rio (although I haven't made the reservation yet), then up to loop around the Sisters and into Kerrville for the last night before going home.  I think all those are manageable one day rides.

Alpine to Marfa to Presidio is only 86 miles??  Is that all the riding for that day???

Respectfully... is anyone 'in charge' of this meeting?  No worries, but I personally, being an ex-IT guy, would like a route plan ...  :187:

I'll be staying near Leakey TX.  Day ride to Alpine for the 16th.  I kinda figured Monday we'd ride a loop Marfa - Presdio - 170S ( a must, yes? ), ride around in the park,  and back 170N to Presidio for the night?????  Something like this:  https://goo.gl/maps/CVvXRg7Jfm5887ET7

Tuesday, route back to Leakey, I'd prefer to run north, maybe follow 67 over toward San Angelo, just 'cause I've never been up that way...  Sisters anytime, never tire of them!!!!

Thoughts????

San Angelo area is miles and miles of miles and miles, with the ever present oilfield trucks.

Having been welcomed as a new member of the Twisted Trophies last May, I quickly learned that itineraries are fluid. It's all about meeting other Trophy Owners, and not so much about having a set plan. I'm good with that!

The Twisted Trophies rules are that there are few rules (like maybe ONE).  I'm not sure we're well enough organized to be organized or even want to be! :745:

I was going to ride 170 from East to west and then the next day ride it from west to East.
More than a few years ago I picked up a Texas map to find the road with the most curves in it then got in my car and drove 170 it’s better now or was a few years ago.
