Very Disappointed
« on: August 04, 2013, 10:58:53 PM »
Well at the end of Top Gear tonight, a salute was made to all British made vehicles. But there was no TT. A Rocket and a Triple (I think) was the only bikes you saw from Triumph.

Shame on you Triumph................. :233:

I doubt it is Triump's fault.  More than likely it is Top Gear that select the vehicles reviewed.  At the risk of starting an international incident, I never cared for that Jeremy Clarkson.  Never really thought he knew what he was talking about.  In fact always thought he was one bar short of a full tank

I have seen the American version. I bet there are other Top Gears around the world. You are right about Clarkson. I know someone senior on Top Gear and he can be an arrogant sod off screen too.

i still fail to see why triumph did not push the TT. It is their new flagship. If you look at our map, it has been bought as much overseas as in the UK.

Well I'm glad to find that I am not alone in my opinion of Clarkson.

There were three Triumphs on the show, a Rocket 3, a Street or Speed Triple and a Bonnie, of sorts. I'm imagining how much trouble the people at Triumph went to and how they must be feeling about the less than 5 seconds of airtime they received for their efforts!  :233: I think that the ice cream vans got more airtime!

Richard Hammond did a test of the Trophy that I saved somewhere, but as Clarkson continually bags bikes no surprise that they did not get much airtime.
