Only 1 set of Tire Pressure Sensors left on Amazon at $130 US

I just order one of the last 2 sets (front and rear) of genuine Triumph tire pressure monitor sensors from Amazon and $130 US for the pair. Not an outrageous amount to spend for a pair, and I will change the batteries on the old ones that come out at the next tire change and always have a set with fresh batteries available at tire changes.  Makes sense to me since I've had the dealer program them one before and they didn't charge for the 2 minutes to do it.

    Hey Buddy!
Thanks for the heads up!  :047:
I just ordered a set, even though Amazon still said there were two sets left.  :084:

I should have updated the post to include some information about them.  They are the epoxy encapsulated version, so any intent to be able to switch batteries on them would require careful removal of the epoxy for access.  I have two sets that are the plastic two piece housing that can be opened up to replace the batteries, but haven't had the need to change any batteries on any of them yet.  I DO have the low battery warning showing up for my rear one that was a tire change fiasco replacement by a non-Triumph dealer.  If you intend to be able to change the batteries more easily I would suggest you not buy the ones on Amazon unless you can contact the seller somehow and ask which series they are.  Sorry for not providing this crucial information earlier. :110:

    Now he tells me!  :173:

    Just kidding, Trophied!

My local tire replacement expert accidentally clipped the TPMS sensor while changing out a tire for my GS. Luckily, BMW’s design includes an inexpensive replaceable collar ($15) for the valve stem, so it was no big deal to repair. Alas, such a repair is not possible on our Trophys, so I figure it will be good to have replacements on hand if/when it happens again. I can’t say I can blame my tire guy. I was there when it happened, and he was using great care removing the old tire. A combination of stiff sidewall and low tire profile don’t allow any margin for error...

Well, the truth is that it is ideal to have at least one replacement for the rear or front wheel, at each wheel change and for what the batteries cost, is to replace them at each tire change and so we are sure that it will not give battery problems low.

It is what I do in each change. I change the tires myself.

    There's a 14 Page "Grapevine" right here :

    "TPMS Battery Low"

The more recent posts in that Topic discuss replacing the TPMS Batteries.

There are other Topics within the Forum too, that can be found using the SEARCH Button !  :169:
