    Trophy Se top cases- usa

So I've been looking for a trophy nationwide for a few years now.   In the USA I thought all trophies were the SE model that includes a top case.
I've noticed that several trophies for sale do not include them.  Most of the bikes are 2015 and older.

Any thoughts on what may have happened to the top boxes?  Possible sign of a drop/ damaged top box and the owners decided it was too expensive to replace so the just removed them.  I don't think I've ever heard of a top case flying off a bike.

Just wanted to hear your thoughts as to why some of the preowned SE's may not have a top case..

The SE Model is the only version that was supplied to the US Market.

The Top Box is an additional accessory for both the Standard and SE Models.

The Side Panniers are standard equipment on both Models.

Coconut is correct.  Probably half of the Trophys I've seen do not have the top case.  Both of mine do, and they get a lot of use!  There are other alternatives, of course, probably from both Shad and Givi among others.  And if the bike was dropped, it would most likely do damage to the side cases, but very unlikely to hit the top box.

Should I be worried that the top boxes/colored panels says they are unavailable online via triumph website / must talk to dealers

When I bought my 2016, the top case, heated grips, heated seats, and case liners were options. Since I got $2k in free accessories with purchase it covered the cost of all 3 (6 counting the liners) plus installation.

Maybe the dealer pulled a fast one and charged me for items that should have come standard on the SE model but since those were the only Triumph accessories I wanted anyway it didn't matter in the end.

I did end up purchasing the GPS mount later for $10 or so during a Triumph online fire sale but other than that no other official Triumph accessories on my bike.

Nope, all are either optional or accessories.  I bought everything you did and more, except for the heated seats...

There is a nice low mileage black one in California. The owner got cancer and died soon after he bought it.
