Low fuel warning
« on: August 05, 2013, 09:17:54 PM »
Three times from a stop I've gotten a low fuel pressure warning and the bike almost stalled. The first occurrence I assumed it was my clutch and throttle technique, the second time caused concern. Now after this third event, I stooped an intentionally lugged the motor, hand off throttle, letting clutch out slowly, there was no warning.

Has anyone else had this issue? This did not happen prior to the latest software update.

Not yet, anyway. Did you have the fuel tank recall? Fuel pump and indicator is in the tank.

I am sure on my sprint I have had similar.  I put it down to the ECU cutting the fuel as the revs dropped too low.

Tank was replaced a few weeks ago.

As stated I intentionally got the revs low and there was no cut out. I wonder it the tech pinched a fuel line or???

BE VERY WARY OF THE POSSIBLE PROGRESSION FROM STALLING AT IDLE TO STALLING AT ALL SPEEDS:  :005:  My bad boy started to stall at idle, then it started to lurch while in cruise control, then it started stalling while cruising on the highway at 70MPH! Triumph had to replace the entire set of throttle bodies and servo assembly...that solved the problem but dudes...that's some scary S--T!  -Dr Ron

Thanks for the warning, yesterday it started surging at 55-65 MPH, with the cruise on or off.

Take it to the dealer at the very leased it's a definite fuelling problem. Any fault however small needs logging by the dealer then if the issue gets worse you have all the ammo you should need  :028: :028:
