Dropped my TTSE just a short time after buying it, March of '14, not totally my fault.. (:>
I used superglue to glue broken tabs back on and a bit on the inside of a crack I had.  Still there to this day holding fine.
Using that material to cover the scratches is brilliant.  I covered up scrapes on the fairing with graphite-look bumper strips, look ok.  The rest of the scars?  Left 'em alone, 'if you haven't dropped it you will..."... like all those scarred valve covers on the BMW Boxers...

I dropped mine on the right side Sunday afternoon.   :157:

Didn't notice I was in second gear, turned hard right and started off--- stall---drop.  Crap.
And wouldn't you know it- right side pannier skins are back ordered...
Year round rider here!

I've decided not to replace my pre-scuffed pannier skins. :745:
