Hi Denboy60 and :400: to the Forum.

That's quite a strange question to ask in your First Post !

Why do you need to know ?   :084:

Both Part Numbers are listed as being for the Triumph Trophy SE, for all markets
except USA & Canada, where they have a different version incorporating XM Satellite Radio.

There was a Software version update for those US & Canadian radios from 1.04A to 1.04E
but as far as I know there were no software updates for the  Rest of the World,
so there is no obvious reason as to why there are 2 different Part Numbers.

If you need a replacement Radio for your Trophy, quote your VIN Number to an authorised
Triumph Dealer, and they will be able to tell you which is the correct version for that particular bike.

The Audio Units are ( were ) made in the US by a Company called Radio Sound inc.

They offer a "Flat Rate" repair service, which isn't exactly cheap ( US $395 ),
but is considerably less than the cost of buying a new Audio Unit. ( Approx GBP £1500  ).

I don't know if that price includes International Shipping,
but I understand it is an "exchange" price,  where you send them
your faulty radio and they send you back a working one.

    Here's their email address : customerservice@radiosound.com.

The contact name there is John Mayhugh, if you explain you got their details from this Forum,
they should be able to guide you through the process.

    Cheers  :821:

In a similar vein, I can't understand why my standard heated seat on my 2012 Trophy is a different part number to my standard heated seat on my 2016 Trophy. They look exactly the same.
