    Brighter headlight with incressed revs

Evening all, an old "problem" that has been talked about loads, flickering lights.

I have used the search facility, looking at alternator and rectifier.
My TTSE all the time I have owned it, 2 years now, the bike is a late 2013 model, the display panel get brighter slightly, while it's been in my ownership I have fitted cree drl's and recently the led bulbs / turn signal lamps, that are white when not signalling, I can't think of the correct name, and neither draw a lot of power.

    The question is,
Is to much power being drawn from the alternator / rectifier, but as I said, It's always done this, it also shows low voltage when turned on, it clears when the engine is running, the battery was also replaced last year.
So is it possible to obtain / fit a more powerful alternator, or upgrade the rectifier, I ask just out of curiosity more than anything else.

It is a sign of bad connection of the wiring that goes from the alternator to the starter relay through the main 40 amp fuse.

There are times when the radio becomes unstable, it even stops a few seconds when changing speed.

The first thing you should do is replace the 40 Amp fuse or sand your contacts and put in the Spray fuse holder to clean contacts. If this does not solve your problem, you must replace the cable to which I mention.

The cost of that cable is around 12 euros.

    Regards

I cleaned the main earth cable and greased it where it attaches to the frame and it improved my "flicker" a lot. Only trouble is, I can't remember where it attaches to the frame! Somewhere down by the clutch cover, I do know the plastics were of  at the time. For what it's worth, mine has had a flicker at low revs from new and that was 6 1/2 years and 85k ago.

Cheers guys  :028:, I will look at that, but like I say, it's done it for the last two years of my ownership.

Did the cable change it too?

Cleaning and putting ACF50 on the cable grounding point improved things a little, but the flicker is still there.

Would one of you folks knowledgeable about this situation post a pic or two of where you are talking about cleaning and lubricating?
