The search is over

I have been shopping for a Trophy since I sold my Victory Vision back in August.  The search has included hours of research, a test drive that I drove 150 miles each way to do, then shopping nationwide for a cream puff.  I found several that I was ready to pull the trigger on but got beat to the punch by a quicker or closer buyer.  Now I have found a black 2017 online that is a cream puff that I have a deposit on and will travel 250 miles each way to trailer it home soon.  Too bad I won’t be able to enjoy it until spring. I don’t ride below 40 deg anymore.  It will be real shiny by then.

I had a 2012 Trophy ( now sold) and was looking for a newer one.  I bought a 2016 Phantom Black TTSE when I was looking for a 2016/2017 model.  However, am I right in thinking production stopped in 2016 and the bikes that are "2017" bikes are just 2016 bikes registered a bit late?  Or were Triumph still MANUFACTURING Trophies in 2017?

I don’t know when production actually ceased, but as near as I can tell, every Trophy built since 2014 is virtually identical.

Except, of course, for the color!
