Ok - K&N Air Filter - presumably the one that
“can” be left for 50,000 miles before being cleaned.
( Less in dusty or other harsh riding conditions )

This in itself doesn’t necessarily make the K&N Filter
any “better” than the OEM Filter.

The original question was whether there was an easier way
to change the Air Filter - the answer is NO.

If the purpose of fitting the K&N version is to reduce the number of times
or frequency that the Fairings and Fuel Tank have to be removed,
where the OEM Filter is specified to be changed every year or 10,000 miles
then that is a false assumption, as they still have to be removed Annually
or every 10,000 miles to Inspect the Spark Plugs and balance the Throttle Bodies.

Apparently, not everyone inspects the spark plugs, and balances the throttle bodies every year, or 10,000 km...  :430:

I may be watching this YouTube video at length over and over to get the Tupperware off for maintenance.

Agreed Saddle Tramp - I was just going by the Good Book !

Maybe instead of writing :

"If the purpose of fitting the K&N version is to reduce the number of times
or frequency that the Fairings and Fuel Tank have to be removed....."

I should have written :

"If the purpose of fitting the K&N version is to reduce the number of times
or frequency that the Fairings and Fuel Tank should be removed....."  :156:

That's a great Video of removing the "Skin" ( Fairing ) - Did anyone else spot
the one screw that actually doesn't need to be removed ? !  :164:

I do not understand the English language, but I see that with the hand he points to the screw that is inside the mirror, just above the one that holds the flashing tulip, it is not necessary to remove it.

It is also not necessary to disassemble the plastic, or its screws where the temperature sensor goes. For those of us who carry the bulbs caught in the two screws in that plastic, it makes the task much easier.

digital, for someone that claims not to understand the English language, you seem to be doing pretty good!  :047:

Saddle Tramp,

I would have liked very much to have learned English.

Unfortunately, due to my age, there were no English courses at that time in national schools, so at the age of 14 I started working.

I only did a technical English course when I studied electronics and it was when I finished military service and I don't remember it because many years ago.
