Wireless charging is the way to go.  I use the RAM cradle with my iPhone 11.  Weather penetration has not been an issue across two Iron Butt Rallies where I've had to ride through a tropical depression downpour in SC and snow on top of Mt Evans, CO.  I have just a simple silicon sleeve on the phone for drop protection.  Now on the usb connector side I do have the port covered in silicon swimmers ear plugs.  Works great.

The "Special Notice 01-21 : Headlamp Conversions" mentioned in my previous message
was withdrawn on 01/03/23 following an update of the UK Motorcycle MOT Inspection Manual

The Manual does not now specifically mention LED Conversions, ( and whether they are permited or not ),
but instead focuses ( pun intended ) on checking that the Beam pattern of a Headlamp complies with regulations.

I was just wondering if a meet-up along the way was something to consider. I may be the lone wolf from the east!
