My Schuberth Sena SC10UA is dumb and outsourced the operational intelligence to the user: Mep-Meeep-Mep hacking  on the plus key...

I don't think it is an age-thing, we just don't tolerate clunky user experience any more. I think I will connect the headset only to my iPhone (maybe to the Garmin second) and will express my desire to Siri... (the only women that listen exactly to what I say):

"Hey Siri, pick up"
"Hey Siri, play Bob Marley on Spotify"

I may never learn the Sena-code or torture myself tuning into a FM station on the Sena. Thats just me- your cheat sheet idea is excellent! (just leave some space to still see the road  :745: )

Can you tell us what amplifiers you use?

Please show some pictures of your subwoofer and list the speaker model.

Muchas Gracias!

So here is my update:

bought a C3pro and decided to go with the SC10UA, arrived yesterday, dry run test:
1) installation somewhat finnicky, documentation rather useless but there is always youtube... done in 45 min
2) downloaded the "schuberth" app to the phone- completely useless, will delete that (except for the hint where to find the WIndows manager and the SW update: http://oem.sena.com/schuberth/)
3) downloaded the  Windows  "manager" and installed it (some hiccups- ignore the driver question and finish...)
4) use the provided USB cable to try SW upgrade to 2.0.3 (one of my other cables would only charge the thing.. which took some 2+ h or so)
5) paired with my iPhone, tested calling and music playing

Here is my preliminary verdict:

sound quality: good.. could be better, I expected something more (maybe I should doubt the marketeers even more). The music plays decent, misses some trebles due to the padding. A nuisance is the phone audio: the sound see to come  from the "front right" or on the right ear predominantly, but I can hear the caller clearly. the issue is in outgoing direction: my voice sounds somewhat muffled out of the closed helmet, although I had the little foam sock pulled off.

Operation: I may go for a remote: always open the visor for the buttons turns out to be a disadvantage (though one of my criteria was no bubbles and warts visible on the helmet, no extra wind noise). plus: learning the sequence and combinations of tap, 1sec, 2sec, 5 sec button pressing reminds me of learning Morse code. time will tell how much that will annoy me.

Windows software: very clunky and not logic, probably wrestled out of the developers hands in beta state back in 2005 and barely updated. at least somehow the SW update worked but did not make much difference for the use case I tested.

FM radio: operating is unacceptable, signal not great while testing. I may rather use the trophy radio, if at all.

Use with the Garmin: tbd
Use while driving: tbd
intercom: don't have a pillion unit yet (she insists in having her jet helmet)

to be continued!

Update: I ordered the Schuberth Sena SC10UA in the electronic Bay. 220 Bucks, without remote control...
Watched some Youtube assembly videos.

Will keep you posted about the progress.

(Another toy that wants to be charged before riding...)

Anybody here that ditched the Sena for a Cardo? I did not hear only excitement in previous posts, some grudge was there too about sena.

By any chance, do you have the item number from Sylvania? Or an Amazon link?

Thanks!
