INVALUABLE!!!!  Another one of those "why didn't I think of that" things.

What a great trip, and thanks for the photos!

The problem in the US is finding the particular connectors.  I've had a couple of pairs of the male/female connectors for the GPS wiring on order for over a month and still have no ship date.  When I have checked various places that sell that particular connector in the US they have never been in stock.

See if it has engine protection bars on it, or look for paint scratches on the side fairings and luggage cases to see if it's been down.  That's low mileaged, but check to see if the 10,000 mile service has already been done, if not, try to get the price down by up to $1000 if you can.  Service is expensive at the 10,000 mile interval, and much moreso at the 20,000 mile intervals due to valve check/adjustment.  All the body work has to come off for service.  If you don't ride in a dusty area, you may decide to be like a lot of us that have seen and air cleaner at the 10,000 mile interval and decided we will never take all the bodywork off at a 10,000 mile interval again.  The service less the air cleaner replacement is pretty simple.  As for the useless radio, well not the XM here in the states as far as I'm concerned.  Some claim to have bluetooth issues, but my 2013 works very well, you just need to know how it has to be paired to a helmet for it work correctly.  I find the Trophy to be the most well equipped reasonably priced sport tourer available.  I've owned BMW's (two) before the Trophy.

Buc-ee's is referred to as a "Destination" by some in Texas! :745:  They have a little of everything there, most of all the absolutely cleanest rest room facilities of any business.  That's due to the founder not being able to find a clean restroom for his daughter,  9 years old at the time, on a road trip.  He started it with that one philosophy in mind and it has served him well.

Wish I was there!  It's been a long time since we were in England.  We always enjoy visiting there. :821:
