I take it the dates March 13th through 19th are finalized?

I will be in Texas then, and SE AZ is a place I have not visited.  Long way from Leakey, but not as long as from New Braunfels and Dallas!!!

I would be on my Not-A-Triumph...  :138:

I can't see the video, it says that the user who uploaded the video has blocked it for my country.

Guess there is nothing can be done about that.  It was just a youtube vid of a new prospect in the series "The Mayans", nothing special...just for funny...

Thanks for those tips about the area.  I think we're going to stick with Southeastern Arizona as the western end of the trip, but others may have different ideas.  I'm OK with anywhere, any time, but I certainly don't want to end up riding in any snow accumulation.  Saw where it had drifted into the lower forested terrain coming down off the mountain from Taos but didn't have to ride in any of it.

After five years of ownership, I've only just realised that the luggage latches locked without the key in the lock:
Key in, unlock, open box, turn key to locked, remove key, close box when ready. It's a gamechanger  :002:

This has only come to light now I'm riding with a pillion. When solo, I usually only access one box at a time and have got used to leaving the key in the lock (so I don't have to find it again). I'd shut the box and then lock it, all good. With two of us wanting to get geared up after a stop, it's much easier to open them all at once, get the keys in the ignition and let all the systems boot up while we get our gear on.

Now I'm wondering what else I don't know..

Next post will be "how do I get my keys out of a locked top box"  :008:

8 years and 102,000 miles and I never figured that out...  :087:

But... I ABSOLUTELY would have locked the ignition keys in the cases at some point, likely several times... ( that's why I have a luggage key on the OTHER part of my keychain!! )!!!

I see "probationary" status for Saddle Tramp .... guess I'd be in that same category.   I look forward to meeting up with some of y'all and doing some riding whenever possible

I don't recall Saddle Tramp doing any 'prospect' things, like waiting on the 'patched', bringing them beers, washing their bikes, etc.???
"Hey, probie, bring me a beer!!!"...

Thanks for the info so far.

I've read some bad reports on the Sena for not being waterproof and being ruined by rain??
In some of their user guides they mention 'water-resistant', nowhere is 'waterproof' where Cardo does say 'waterproof'.

Have any of you had that experience.

I ride in the rain a LOT, matter of fact, that is when I'd use the device the most, listening to music on the slab in the rain... (:>

Seems the other choice is a Cardo unit of some sort??

Thinking of getting a BT headset for my HJC IS MAX II helmet.

Mostly for use with my Garmin XT, bike, and phone.
So looking for a device that:
can hookup to at least 2 devices as a headset
Can work logically with 3 devices: I'd like to be able to hear music from the phone or GPS as well as GPS directions. also capability to work with Android Auto ( phone cabled into bike ) as my ATwin has that capability.
Absolutely waterproof.
Works dependably; no dropouts / disconnects / infuriations..
Normally I 'listen to the wind' but seeing as this tech is possible thinking I should buy in.
Don't need to talk to a 'group' but one other rider would be a plus.

So... looking for recommendations.  Reviews of all brands/models seem to be negative as reviews tend to be.
So... what works????

"Hell hath no fury..."... Though I am without.B&C at this time, I commiserate with those who are.. Mama happy; everybody happy. Mama NOT happy... nobody happy, etc. etc.

El Paso is a LONG way from Leakey, TX.  But farther from New Braunfels, yes?  Thinking... I've wanted to visit my aunt and cousins in San Diego, and I'd be half-way there.  Such a lot of 'nothing' to traverse though.. Want to combine it with finishing route 66 and Yosemite, but Yosemite is closed that time of year of course..

Ooooops... Rambling again...
