I remember Triumph had spare parts for those aluminum parts.

Once when entering the house I hit the dome (screen) with the frame of the main door and those pieces of aluminum broke.

I took those two pieces apart and put two steel plates on each end and screwed them to the aluminum piece and it always worked for me and for years I had no problems.

It's a good engine and unless you have a small oil leak you rarely need to top up the oil.

I never get to do the oil changes with the km that the manufacturer says.

I do oil and filter changes every 10,000 km.

You could always use a Givi top box they are much lighter than the Triumph one.
