Title: Need a switched power lead for a FuzeBlock
Post by: Padman63 on March 14, 2014, 12:50:42 pm
Hello,
I am adding a FuzeBlock (see attached picture) underneath my seat on my TTSE so as I can add some lighting, etc. It has 3 leads, one is 12VDC that goes to the + battery, one goes to a ground and one that requires a "switched power source" Can anyone help me with a good way to tap into a reliable source under the seat perhaps near the fuses? Or would a better source be up front somewhere? Thank you!

I used the GPS power plug under the left fairing as a source for switched power. The mating dongle from triumph is under $15 and can be used to fire a relay (or the fuzeblock trigger) that feeds your fusebox accessories directly from the battery. The advantage is you don't need to cut into the loom and all your farkles are independent of the TT electrical system.

The "mating dongle" is just a plastic moulded plug with two wires - ( + and - )
The plastic plug connects directly and neatly to the dedicated clean power supply socket
for the Sat Nav system, located under and behind the left hand mirror pod,
saving the need to cut and/or splice into any other wiring.

The other ends of the wires are bare with crimp connectors for connecting to your Sat Nav device ( or whatever ).
The Triumph Accessory Kit is Part Number A 9938122 and should be available to order from your Triumph Dealer  :028:
