Just dropping a note, I have successfully installed the top case lights, and they work beautifully. I went the plug and play route, as suggested by Coconut (thanks for the detailed help) and couldn't be happier. I'd love to be able to drop a short video here, but I can't seem to transfer it from the damn phone.  :233:

Anyway thanks to all who replied and for the input, this forum really has some great folks that always seem willing to help out.    :821:

Ahhhh Haaaaa,

I was racking my brain about the hookup, until I saw your diagram, then it hit me.
Thanks, once again, for your greatly appreciated and vast knowledge that you so graciously contribute here on this forum.

I'm assuming either yo've been a Triumph tech for a number of years, or a private shop owner, either way, I'm sure i speak for all that come for advise.

I'll keep the updates coming.

And yes, beer is a welcomed, and accepted form of currency here !!! :821:

Coconut,

Sorry to post on a holiday,
I did just scroll back to your comments, as suggested, and printed the diagram showing the grey and blue plug sections.
I have the plugs, but wouldn't I also need additional wire to go i between the Ballinger plugs ?  Sorry, electrical has never been one of my strong areas.

Happy Easter

Coconut,

Thanks for all the help, I'll attempt the hook up tomorrow. The easier part of the wok is done, the kit is mounted into the top case. I"ll post pictures of the end results hopefully soon.

Again, thank-you

Coconut,

I found out that the grey plastic piece with the 4 brass posts on it, is a mini controller. That just gets tucked away, and nothing else.

I did have a question on the plug and play you suggested. I bought the recommended plugs, and just wondered if I splice them up, then plug the top case lights into the Trophy harness, Won't that take the place of the factory tail light ? I haven't taken the tail section apart yet, but I wanted the top case lights to be additional. It just seems to me if I'm unplugging the tail light, to plug in the top case kit, it will render the factory tail light useless.

Is there a way to keep both ?

Leaving mine on Auto cancel. I agree with Coconut, it's better to have them on as a back up, in case you happen to forget.
You can always beat the bike and cancel them yourself if need be.
And BTW, a little contact cleaner, and a little working the switch, cleared up the sticking problem. Thanks for all the input mates !! :152:
