I just purchased a 2013 TTSE with 12K miles. The dealer (Triumph/Kawasaki/Yamaha) recommended adding a few ounces of Yamalube to the gas. I didn't question it at the time, but does anybody else regularly use additives? This is not including any stabilizers for storage or occasional injector cleaning additives like SeaFoam?

I've found topics here regarding Ethanol gas, but haven't found much mentioning this product specifically.

They didn't say it was necessary just a "hey if really want to..." sort of thing. The recommended amount was about 2-3oz per 5 gallons.

I might give it a shot but if the cost of one is as high as Amazon's price ($26 for 12oz), I may think twice.

I just purchased a 2013 TTSE. I called the customer service phone number and provided the VIN. They told me of all recall work on record. It helped my decision on purchasing the bike. I recommend calling.

Everything checked out. Signed the paperwork yesterday. I am a proud owner of a 2013 TTSE with just under 12K miles.

Hello from Wisconsin! Looking forward to being on the site more often.

How many of you, if any, are also on the TTSE Facebook group "Triumph Trophy SE"?

Everything checked out. Signed the paperwork yesterday. Now a "member" in the TTSE club. Looking forward to being on this forum more often, hopefully not because of mechanical issues.

For those that came across this thread first, here’s the checklist:

2nd rest drive complete. Went through the checklist provided on this site for buying a used TTSE. it was very helpful.
No electrical gremlins. Any major issue was the engine head upgrade. The salesperson didn’t know about it but contacted their Triumph rep. I guess that rep will contact me directly.

Dealer so far has been very accommodating. I requested the bike cold to listen to the engine and they complied. I recorded a sample video. Your thoughts?

Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the email contact. Sent a message to Triumph last night. No reply from Triumph yet but there's still a little time left if they reply within 24 hours.
