Ride Reports and Touring / Western Tour on Trophy SE
« on: February 09, 2020, 12:38:51 AM »
As I sit here watching the snow fall I thought I would share my fun from last summer.  Had a wonderful time riding the Trophy SE around New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Texas in June, 2019.  Camped out along the way and generally enjoyed myself.  My riding partner was on a BMW GS, but that was his problem not mine!  I'll have to say that even with all my camping gear on the bike it performed like a champ.  I really didn't notice the weight.  Temps ranged from 105 to about 35.  Rode in sunshine, rain, hail, and really wicked wind that I was pretty sure was going to blow me off the road.  Can't wait until this summer to head out again!

$5400 for this garage kept 2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 with 3165 miles loaded with extras. The bike includes a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat (you will also get the original), Triumph TORS silencers (you will also get the originals), Power Commander with a custom MAP and airbox removal and replaced with KandN filters, Lucas style rear lights and turning signals (you get the originals also), a helmet lock, headlight stone guard, SW-Motech crashbar, center stand, quick detach windscreen, and power outlet. This bike is great to ride, smooth, nice sound but not loud. I am the original owner and ride it locally. Never any problems. You also get the Haynes bike manual for it. This is a great package deal for a fun and reliable bike.

Maintenance, Servicing, and Mechanical issues / Leak Question
« on: April 10, 2019, 01:47:32 AM »
I need help figuring out what this leak is.  I had my bike covered all winter in the shop.  I moved it once a few weeks ago by taking it off the center stand and rolling it a few feet out of the way.  An hour later I rolled it back to the original spot and left.  Yesterday I took the cover off to get it ready for the season and found these splashes on my tire, wheel, and final drive.  I imagine there was a leak and it splashed when I rolled the bike a few feet in the shop a few weeks ago.  At first I wondered if it might be final drive fluid but did not see any specific place it may have leaked from.

Then I looked at the front and saw some drops on the tire and on the wheel, although a lot less than was in the rear.

Now I am wondering if it is brake fluid?  With the ABS could that lead to a leak at front and rear brakes?  Again, I can't see an obvious place where it is coming from.  I did check the brake reservoirs and the front is full but the rear one is at the low line level.  I have applied the brakes rolling the bike in the shop and don't notice anything and have not found more fluid leaking out.  Any ideas about this would be very welcome.  I'm a rider but not much of a mechanic (but I'm willing to try things....)

Hello from Ohio.  I added a Trophy to my life a couple of months ago to keep the Bonnie company.  I picked up a left over 2015 black Trophy SE and then came home to tell my wife what I did.   :002:  She was pretty accepting considering she doesn't ride and can't understand why I need more than one bike.  With that "endless summer" deal I was able to add a top box, heated grips, pannier inner bags, tank bag, gps mount, some gloves and the first service at no cost.  I've been riding around Ohio and Pennsylvania but am looking forward to some long cross-country trips next year.  It looks like there is some great information on this site.
