Maintenance, Servicing, and Mechanical issues / Bike won't Start
« on: July 25, 2018, 12:55:11 pm »
After a trouble free ride from Canberra ACT to Sale VIC the other week stored my Trophy in a secure lock up. A week later returned and attempted to start up. Electrics good, although noted no fuel level indication on fuel gauge  (when last stopped just under 1/2 full), hit the starter (which turns over) and engine does not fire up :233: :233: :233: :233: :233:.

No apparent fuel leak or spill....Also my tools are in Canberra and I won't be back that way until end of August 18  :110: :110: :110: :110:.

Thoughts????

Has anyone read this eBay advertisement? I genuinely feel for the owner/seller but couldn't stop PMSL at his creative sales commentary. Is this negative marketing at its best?

Triumph Trophy - General Chat / No riding this weekend
« on: February 19, 2015, 08:11:52 pm »
No riding this weekend due to a 'little' Tropical Cyclone. TC Marcia Cat 5 storm is about to hit the Queensland coast. For those in the Northern Hemisphere a cyclone is like a hurricane except it spins the opposite way (clockwise).

For local riders stay safe.

Riding Gear, Clothing, and Apparel / Kula-XD Cooling Vest
« on: December 21, 2014, 01:51:04 am »
Hi All,

On recommendation of a mate and finally realising, after over 40 years, riding in +35C and +80% humidity during our Summer is quite exhausting I've ordered a Kula-XD Cooling Vest as a Christmas present.

http://www.coolweave.com.au/kula-xd.htm

The difference in this vest is it is a 'dry' evaporative vest. Unlike others this one does not need to be immersed but rather filled with ~600mililitres of water. Claims the cooling effect works for ~24hours, regardless of humidity, and is dry to the skin have been confirmed by my mate.

I will post my observation of performance of this product once I've had a decent chance to test it over the coming month.

The company that sells this product exports internationally so this discussion may be of use for Northern Hemisphere riders getting ready for next years Summer.

Lighting, Electrical, and Wiring / Radio reception after ECU Upgrade
« on: March 06, 2014, 03:12:47 am »
Out of curiosity has anyone, other than me, experienced reduced radio reception after the ECU upgrade? If so do you know the cause apart from a loose antenna?
