I've been lurking here on the Trophy forum since I acquired my 2017 Trophy SE last August.  Must say that I have acquired quite a lot of useful information about maintenance, servicing, accessories, how to's, suggestions, advice, etc., etc. from the forum members.  Would like to give a special thank you to Coconut  :047: for all of his input and support on this board!  This dude has forgotten more about the Trophy SE than I will ever know  :028:!

Now, a little about me.  I'm currently 72 years old and have been riding motorcycles since I was 8 years old.  Needless to say, many, many miles and many, many bikes later I'm still eager to ride as often as possible.  Stopped riding when the kids came along in order to keep the wife happy.  Got back into riding around 20 years ago with a Harley Sportster (wife named it "Baby Harley"); then on to a Honda Goldwing GL1800 and then on to a Yamaha FJR1300.  Wife and I did a couple trips out west on the Goldwing and the FJR and I/we have traveled in/through most of the states in the lower 48.  Retired from jobs in corporate America, real estate, real estate finance (mortgage business) in 2008 and went to work selling motorcycles (Yamaha/Suzuki) to have something to do after retirement.  The "great recession" hit hard in our area around 2009/10 and the dealership I was selling for shut it's doors and went under.  In August, 2010 I had a heart attack and three stints put in and decided to sell the FJR and hang it up for a while.  Then, in early 2018, I decided it was time to get back on the road again and bought an almost new BMW K1600GTL Executive with the intent for the wife and I to make one more trip out west before I/we could no longer throw a leg over the saddle.  Great bike, but it was to big and heavy for a 5'10" - 165lb. old man to manage so I sold it and got a Ducati Multistrada S 1200 GT.  Again, great bike but the wife didn't think it was comfortable enough for a long and extended trip out west.  Regrettably, sold the Ducati and bought the Trophy this past August which is much more acceptable as a comfy mile muncher for the wife and me to take on long tour rides.  So, that's how I got here :038:.

Thanks again to all the members and posters for all the valuable information gained for the forum!  Perhaps I will be able to help someone out in the future if I feel I can shed any light on a topic I'm well versed in.
