G'day Mad Dog, the decision is not easy when so much enjoyment and emotional connection comes through riding this machine. As we discussed over coffee the other day we can't lose sight of the fact we like to ride. At the end of the day we select the best machine, reliability and cost of ownership, roads, and mates to achieve this end. It's a shame the Trophy was discontinued and the after sales support is so far away.

The Pillion in a Million is far happier mounting the Thunderbird than the Trophy. I enjoy riding the the Thunderbird, which is also much simpler to maintain. Therefore, the decision to sell my Trophy was really a no brainer in the end.

Logic eventually wins in the end. Looking forward to our next ride.

Good job and well done.

I went from the top to replace my bulbs. I made sure I took a photo of each before diddling around by feel. All up 20 minutes taking battery and glove box out.

After 5 1/2 years I've been forced to replace a headlight bulb. I must say it was way easier than replacing headlight bulbs on my 2007 Sprint ST - I had to completely remove the instrument binnacle, quite few expletives, and eventually replacing all three bulbs.

For the Trophy after Coconuts 🌴  🌴  advice I chose to work from the top through the glove box and battery cover removal. After  taking photos of each light housing, donned the surgical gloves and began the operation. I also removed the lower plates containing the ambient temperature sensor and the one under the lower steering  triple clamp? All up both bulbs replaced in 25 minutes. Even replaced the centre running light with a brighter blue bulb.
