    Engine/Road Noise

I recently went to a Triumph demo day to ride the Trophy, where I was concerned if I could handle the bike size compared to my GT. That concern I found was not the problem, I was more concerned about the excessive engine noise
How do Trophy owners find the noise compared to other similar bikes

Coming from a goldwing I feel like the noise is character.   The big Honda is silent, but has no personality.  I've owned a pilot and a  tl, and a goldwing and I'd say the same for all of them.   No personality.

The noise is music to me. At steady road speeds it's fairly quiet, but crank it and it's makes a throaty growl.  I've owned an ST1300 and still have a gold wing and it's louder than either, but not too loud in my opinion.  It's hard to be very loud with EU and EPA testing .

It is loud but I believe because the noise is trapped by the fairing.

I noticed a different noise on the first test ride, but after 5 minutes did not notice it at all.  Compared to the ST1100 there was more of a gear whine up front, but then again there was also a very nice engine/exhaust growl.  I always wear earplugs with audio built in

    What engine noise?

Over 6000km and the engine and transmission whine is not noticeable above the stereo booming hahahahahahaha!!!!!

I really don't find it that loud but I wear ear plugs on any ride beyond my 5 mile commute.
I really like slow acceleration in third gear. It sounds like a turbo jet accelerating down the runway!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
