Sale to Benambara

Great day ride with the Ulysses from Sale to Benambra, leaving Sale via the back roads to join the Great Alpine Road at Bairnsdale for a quick stop and a coffee at Bruthen. Back on the bikes and into the twisty bits to Swifts Creek for a stop for the group to catch up before heading into Omeo for fuel. Fuelled up and then on to Benambra pub for lunch. After lunch to do the same in reverse. The Trophy performed great for the 400K round trip. Planning my next ride to Adelaide on the 31st May.

Am I right in thinking this wasn't in the UK?

You would be right CoJaW. Just us Aussie's having a good time in Gippsland Region of Victoria, Australia. Was a nice 14 to 15deg C with no rain, what more could you wish for. If you Google the Great Alpine Road all will be revealed.

The Great Alpine Way is one road I will take the Trophy (once I get one!) to as it will make the ride really interesting. The ride down from Canberra to get onto the road is nearly as good!

You betcha Saaz, last time I rode to Canberra I was on my ST1300 where I rode the Great Alpine Road then up to the Snowy and on to Canberra. Can't wait for the warmer months to take the Trophy on the same route.
